With modern CDI ignitions, the signal for the ignition timing is recorded inductively or contactlessly using a Hall sensor.
The big advantage: no more tedious adjustment or readjustment of the mechanical Contact Breaker is necessary, and there are no faults caused by contact fires due to defective condensers.
SparkEVO offers a well thought-out conversion solution with suitable Conversion Kits. The original fixing points are retained and structural conditions are taken into account. This solution largely preserves the original look of classic vehicles and allows them to be easily restored to their original condition - if desired. The CDI module supplied with the SparkEVO kit provides the Ignition Coil with a stronger and more stable voltage - an advantage that is noticeable as soon as the vehicle is started. This positive effect extends over the entire engine speed range. Mechanical contacts quickly reach their limits, especially with high-revving Engines. This is where CDI ignitions impress with their contactless operation and improve the efficiency of the Engine. Optimized fuel consumption is a welcome side effect. A small trimmer on the CDI module allows the ignition curve to be adjusted by up to six degrees with a linear progression - a feature that is particularly welcome on tuned Engines.
