The frame design of the Vespa 150 Sprint is similar to that of the Vespa GL, but differs in its metallised paintwork. The "Vespa S" lettering embossed in relief adorns the Sign and is made of dark blue painted aluminium. The "Vespa Sprint" Badge, which is located at the rear above the Rear Light, is also made of the same material. The front mudguard and the side bonnets feature straight Decorative Trims. The design is completed by a dark blue Seat, which is supplied as standard with this Model.
In addition to the Italian model, there was also a Vespa 150 Sprint, which was manufactured in Augsburg, Germany. This model has the following features:
Double Type Plate: Located on the spar and bears the inscription "Piaggio & Co, Genova, Vespa Sprint".
Speedometer: Originally a VDO shell speedometer was used, corresponding to the model of the German Vespa GS/4. Later, Veglia shell speedometers were also inserted.
Rear Light: Initially, a Hella rear light was fitted, also as on the German Vespa GS/4. In later versions, the metal rear light of the Italian version was used.
Indicators: Originally equipped with Hella cheek indicators, similar to the German Vespa GS/4, later models were fitted with handlebar end indicators.
Ignition Lock: Integrated in the Indicator Switch, similar to the German 150 GL.
Seat: Initially, a Denfeld seat was used, with a cover in light grey on top and dark grey on the sides. This was later followed by the Italian version in dark blue with an "Aquila" Sign, but without Rivets on the sides. From 1968, the Seats were delivered with a "Piaggio" imprint on the back.
Vespa Signs: At the front with the Badge "Vespa S." and at the rear "Vespa Sprint", originally in dark blue (anodised) and later in silver, depending on the model year.
Colour scheme: The jaw seals and Grips were in grey.

The revised Engine of this Model with a displacement of 145.45 ccm is characterised by a significantly increased performance. This increase leads to improved acceleration and a higher average speed. The compression ratio has also been increased to 7.4:1. Changes to the valve control diagram and the introduction of a newly designed Silencer contribute to the increase in performance. The transmission ratios were adapted to the increased power, and both the Clutch and the gearbox were improved. The flywheel magneto has been reinforced and there is an inspection slot for checking the contacts, which is protected by a Rubber Cover.
The German model from Augsburg is likely to be difficult to find. The early version of the Vespa 150 Sprint is particularly rare, and there are probably not many of these models left. Where do you look for this vehicle?

Another feature is the use of a single key for both the Lock on the bonnet and the Ignition Lock.
