The Vespa 125 TS, also known as the "Turismo Speciale", was manufactured by Piaggio in the 1970s, from 1975 to 1978 to be precise. The design of the Vespa 125 TS is very similar to the Vespa 125 GTR or the Vespa Rally. One major difference to the Vespa GTR is that the Vespa TS, similar to the Rally models, does not have a flap for a Glovebox due to the spare wheel placed under the Side Panel Trim. Instead, the Vespa TS has a glove compartment on the inside of the Legshield. In line with the Rally models, it also lacks the Decorative Trims found on the Vespa GTR's Side Panels. The design of the Seat also differs slightly from other models. As standard, there is a horizontal Badge on the front bulkhead.
This model forms a bridge between the Vespa 125 GTR and the later Vespa PX.
The Vespa 125 TS had a more powerful engine compared to its predecessor models. This engine was a single-cylinder two-stroke engine with a displacement of 123 cc, which offered improved performance compared to the engine of the 125 GTR. A significant feature of the 125 TS Engine was the three transfer ports fitted from the outset, a feature that only became standard on the 125 GTR from its eighth year of production in 1975. In addition, the later models and Engines of the 125 TS, presumably from 1977 onwards, were equipped with an Oil Pump and separate lubrication. This was a feature that was also found in the subsequent PX models. This equipment can be recognised by the oil control glass in the Frame, placed under the Fuel Tap or next to the Choke Lever.
Due to its limited production time and the fact that it was a transitional model, the Vespa 125 TS is now particularly popular with collectors and lovers of classic Vespas. Its unique design and historical significance contribute to its value. Where do you look for this vehicle?

The frame of the Vespa 125 TS follows the large-frame design, consisting of stamped sheet metal shells. The frame number is stamped at the rear right under the Engine Cover at the height of the Shock Absorber.
Frame Parts include a Speedometer from the manufacturer Veglia, which has a shell-shaped design. The face plate of the speedometer is black and goes up to 120 km/h. The seat is a black double seat with a Piaggio Badge at the rear end. A glove compartment is conveniently integrated into the front of the Legshield.
The lettering and Emblems of the Vespa 125 TS include "vespa" lettering on the Legshield and a hexagonal Piaggio logo on the Horn Cover. The Badge "125 t.s." is located above the Rear Light. The Legshield with aluminium Legshield Trim provides additional protection and a decorative touch. Decorative Trims also adorn the mudguard fin.
