Kickstart shafts and kickstart gears wear out. O-Rings develop leaks, springs lose their tension, and kickstart stop rubbers wear down over time. Therefore, these parts should be inspected after prolonged use and replaced during an engine overhaul.

SIP TIP:

If you’re riding a PX engine in a classic bike, you can modify the engine so that the original Kickstart Lever fits again. To do this, simply swap the PX Kickstart Shaft for the one from the VNA, Sprint, or T5.
