Product description
SIP-BFA 325 Lambretta complete engine - built by the Rimini Lambretta Center on a Casa Performance engine block.
Ever since the BFA 306 Engine for the Vespa has been on the market, many Lambretta riders have wanted an equally broadband engine for their Lambretta. To mark the 30th anniversary of the SIP Scootershop, we have therefore decided to launch a small series of these engines on the market in cooperation with the Rimini Lambretta Center.
- Superior performance
- High-quality individual parts
- Assembly at top level
The Lambretta version of the SIP-BFA Engine has even more displacement than the Vespa version. The extra displacement is due to the 68 mm stroke - 4 mm more than in the Vespa version.
Posch Performance for superior power delivery
Once you have ridden a BFA 306 in everyday life or on tours, you won't want to change to any other engine. Especially in combination with the racing exhaust from Posch Performance, the Engine drives in a relaxed and confident manner. The aim when adapting the Cylinder to a Lambretta Engine was therefore to achieve a similarly pleasant and powerful power delivery.
Jürgen Posch from Posch Performance was immediately willing to support us in this. His portfolio includes a resonance exhaust that develops its power just as homogeneously as the box. The "Racing Resi" even offers a little more peak power. This layout has been tried and tested and is particularly popular on the BFA 306. Micky and Lorenzo from Rimini Lambretta have made it possible and adapted the layout to the Lambretta Engine.
RLC know-how and Casa Performance quality
If a cylinder as large and powerful as the BFA 306 is to be adapted to a Lambretta engine, the entire periphery - from the engine block to the Crankshaft and the Clutch to the gearbox - must also be able to handle this power reliably.
The ideal partner for this task is Casa Performance. This is where high-displacement, high-performance Engines have been developed to series production readiness. All engine components are designed to permanently withstand power outputs of over 50 hp. The engine blocks are also ideal for adapting the BFA Cylinder.
But it's not just the parts from Casa Performance that are perfect for this project - the expertise and facilities of the Rimini Lambretta Center are also ideal for building such a complete engine. So we made enquiries in Rimini and were able to win RLC and Casa Performance as partners for this project.
The SIP-BFA 325 Lambretta Engine not only consists of the highest quality components - it is also professionally assembled in one of the best-known and most experienced tuning shops in the Lambretta world.
SIP Ignition / Cooling
The SIP VAPE Ignition is the benchmark among Lambretta ignitions. Of course, it is also installed in our SIP-BFA 325 Engine (Road, AC).
To ensure that the cooling air generated by the CNC-machined fan blades can effectively flow around the Cylinder, we at Casa Performance have had our own Cooling Hood developed. It is manufactured in small series for SIP and is of course included in the scope of delivery.
Overrev Cylinder Head
We drew on the expertise of OVERREV for the Cylinder Head. The head is specially adapted to the 68 mm stroke.
The Carburettor
The mixture is prepared using a Dell'Orto VHSH 30 Carburettor. This is supplied pre-tuned. We have carefully determined the setup with the help of lambda readings. Nevertheless, we recommend having the jetting checked by a specialist workshop on site, as the optimum setup may vary depending on the location, Air Filter used and installation space (e.g. sound insulation).
Caution: On this Engine, the Carburettor is seated on the right behind the engine mount in the direction of travel. On TS1, TS1+, CP SSR265 etc., the Carburettor sits in front of the engine mount. The shape or position of the Tank must therefore be adapted for the SIP-BFA 325 Engine.
We offer a tank in our store that is adapted to the carburetor position (item no. 75209910 and 75209920). Otherwise, the Plates of the Lambretta remain untouched. (Exception series 1 and 2: Depending on the shock absorber combination, it may be necessary to slightly modify the right floorboard)
Note: If the Cylinder is not in stock in our Bearing, it will be made to order. The construction time is approx. eight weeks.
