CASA PERFORMANCE 333 Sledge Hammer Engine Kit – a partially assembled 333-cc Lambretta engine for powerful touring with plenty of torque and minimal stress.
The Sledge Hammer 333 from CASA PERFORMANCE is not a high-revving race engine, but rather a large-displacement touring engine designed for long distances, low RPMs, and maximum rideability. The concept is clear: large displacement, robust cooling, smooth power delivery from low RPMs, and minimal maintenance.
- 333 cc displacement for impressive torque
- Partially assembled by specialists at RIMINI LAMBRETTA CENTRE
- Diaphragm intake via the crankcase
- Ideal foundation for powerful long-distance Lambretta engines
The Engine Kit is the more economical way to enter the 333-cc class from CASA PERFORMANCE. It is designed for experienced mechanics who want to switch from a classic tuned Lambretta engine to a significantly larger and more modern design, but wish to select and install certain components themselves.
The complex specialized work has already been completed. The Crankshaft, vertically split Crankcase, and cylinder assembly are professionally pre-assembled. This leaves enough flexibility for your own configuration, while the critical foundational work has already been neatly prepared.
Touring Instead of a Rev-Fest
The Sledge Hammer 333 is designed for excellent rideability. It’s meant to pull smoothly even at low RPMs, run effortlessly over long distances, and still be fast enough to be truly fun. That’s precisely the appeal of this engine concept: plenty of power, minimal gear shifting, and an engine that doesn’t constantly demand high RPMs.
In practice, this translates to a very confident riding experience. Especially on long rides, on inclines, or when carrying luggage, the large displacement really shows its advantages. The engine doesn’t need to be constantly revved to the redline; instead, it delivers strong performance exactly where a long-distance scooter really needs it.
Partially assembled with room for your own components
The kit includes the core engine assembly but deliberately leaves out key components. This allows the engine to be configured to suit the intended use. Various ignition systems, transmissions, Clutches, primary drives, Chain Tensioners, chain covers, brake components, and other assemblies can be used.

These products are a perfect fit – SIP TIPS:
- We recommend the SIP Master Clutch from Casa Performance.
- Additionally, a fuel tank with a cutout for the carburetor position of the crankcase diaphragm inlet is required for a complete installation. A good combination is an OILTEK aluminum tank.
