POLINI - Italian myth around scooters
POLINI - The name alone has a sound that is unparalleled in the racing and tuning scene. The Italians from Alzano Lombardo near Bergamo have been setting standards in the development of high-quality components for decades. And it is impossible to imagine motorsport without them. POLINI: History

It's the 1940s and Italy is riding bicycles! Father Battista Polini returns from the front and begins to build sturdy bicycles for the workers to ride on the hard-packed ground. The children Carlo, Franco and Piero help out in the shop from an early age and learn to love two-wheeled mechanics at an early age. At the end of the 1950s, motorbikes and scooters became popular and those who, like the Polinis, had petrol in their blood could not help but enthusiastically enter the motorised two-wheeler business. A little later, in the early 70s, one of the brothers (Piero) even became a motorbike racer himself and won three Italian "Enduro" titles at the first go. Since then he has been on top of the podium at least three hundred times. With enthusiasm, experience and ambition, the brothers are increasingly acquiring an impressive level of knowledge in engine tuning. The POLINI modifications soon turn the first engines into safe and reliable products with high winning potential. Thanks to the high-quality tuning parts from POLINI, both racing riders and recreational scooterists can thereby increasingly tailor their scooters to their own individual needs. The products, which are now planned with the help of modern CAD programmes and tested both on the test bench and on the track, are still distinguished by their extraordinary quality today.
POLINI, however, does not deny itself the latest trends in mobility. They have been active in the e-bike scene for several years and have developed their own drive with the E-P3+. And of course they also know how to tune an e-bike effectively. You can find out more here.
POLINI and motor racing

At the beginning of the 90's POLINI starts a new project and begins the production of a series of minibikes, authentic miniature Grand Prix bikes, completely "Made in Italy" and characterised by reliable technical solutions. Many MotoGP champions have taken their "first steps" on the race track with these small MotoGP bikes. First and foremost Valentino Rossi.
In 1997 POLINI introduces a new line of minicross bikes with two-stroke engines that have accompanied the careers of many MXGP and MX2 champions from the very beginning.
From 2009 POLINI's production is extended with the "Polini Thor" brand, the most complete range of two-stroke paramotors on the market, from 80cc to 250cc for the many demands on the track. A successful choice that has enabled the company to win many national and international titles in the various disciplines.
Teams and riders using the company's products have so far won five titles in the FIM Motorcycle World Road Championship: three in the 125cc class (two with Loris Capirossi and one with Valentino Rossi), one in the 500cc class and one in the MotoGP class (both with Valentino Rossi).
The "Polini Italian Cup" has been a fixed racing series for scooters, among others, for many years.
POLINI and SIP Scootershop
While POLINI MOTORI has its 20,000 m² headquarters with extensive storage areas, offices and its own racing department in Alzano Lombardo, the 2,500 m² POLINI RICAMBI spare parts warehouse is located in Bergamo. In the meantime, POLINI has built up a dynamic trade network that includes more than 3,200 sales points in Italy and trade partners in more than 64 countries. For the company, it is important "not only to sell good products, but also to be able to offer equally good customer service".
And that is why SIP Scootershop has been a distributor of POLINI for more than 20 years. We have around 1,000 products from the Italians in our range and cannot possibly highlight individual parts at this point.
