If a Cylinder has a few thousand kilometers behind it, the Piston Rings or even the Piston should definitely be replaced in order to continue to ensure reasonable compression. We have the most important spare and wear parts for all common tuning and original cylinders in stock for you: i.e. Pistons, Piston Rings, Gudgeon Pins, Gudgeon Pin Retaining Rings and Gasket Sets.

The main task of the Piston Rings is to seal the combustion chamber from the crankcase and ensure the flow of heat from the Piston to the Cylinder. They are also very important for regulating the lubricating oil balance. Accordingly, they are subject to heavy wear and tear and should be replaced regularly. Loss of compression, diminishing performance and poor starting behavior are clear signs of worn Piston Rings.

We offer Piston Rings up to the 4th oversize (OD) for many Models and Cylinders. The specified bore/Ø always indicates the dimension of the Cylinder. There are normal and L-shaped Piston Rings as well as trapezoidal and semi-trapezoidal Piston Rings for tuning cylinders.

SIP-TIP:

Piston Rings should be fitted carefully and should never be overstretched, otherwise there is a risk of breakage. The piston ring joint clearance and the type and design of the rings must be observed. Trapezoidal rings only have one installation direction! Useful tools that make work on the Cylinder easier are
