Full Circle Crankshafts were originally developed for diaphragm-controlled Engines, but they are ideal for use with direct-intake Cylinders. The basic idea is better pre-compression via completely closed crank webs. With engines controlled via the Casing, even large milled diaphragm inlets with boost ports cannot prevent the mixture from being unfavorably swirled by the crank webs standing in the way. With directly aspirated cylinders such as the QUATTRINI 177 cc M1XL, the Full Circle Crankshaft comes into its own and enables higher engine speeds and more power.
