Side panels made of high-quality carbon in perfect shape and workmanship for Vespa PX models.

Carbon fibre-reinforced material can be shaped into almost any form. At the same time, it is light, particularly stiff and looks classy thanks to the high-gloss finish. It is also being used more and more in customising old Vespa and Lambretta scooters. For years, there have been mudguards and silencers made of this high-tech fibre. But not all carbon is the same.

C6-Performance uses materials and processing methods from the aerospace industry. In the so-called prepreg process, carbon blanks pre-impregnated with resin are baked under high pressure in an autoclave (a kind of pressure cooker for high-tech materials). The result is blanks that have a very fine surface finish. The following steps are the highest standard for e.g. noble car manufacturers such as Lamborghini or Bugatti: special fillers and lacquer materials are used to create a clear lacquer surface that has Class-A quality.

Premium in every fibre and in every respect

In the end, these elaborate steps make all the difference. The components really exploit the potential of the material in terms of lightness and stability. At the same time, the shape is perfect and the finish better than the original. Made in Germany by a premium supplier to the automotive industry. Of course, such a complex component also means a lot of financial effort. But anyone who holds such a part in their hands knows that it is money well spent.

Fit

The panels fit 1:1 to the Lusso frame with inner closure. With indicator opening, standard width. The mounting is done as usual via the pin in the front, the central spring and the hook in the rear. The seatings are also the only parts that are made of metal. Otherwise, the side panles is made of carbon down to the last detail.
