Complete Vespa PX engines—ideal for major engine damage, for converting older large-frame Models, or as a base for high-performance tuned engines.

A complete engine replacement makes sense in cases of major engine damage or when upgrading a classic model or a PX80. New engines are now only available for Vespa PX models. Since these engines feature modern technology, they represent an important upgrade for older models and also serve as an excellent foundation for tuning modifications.

This allows 8" vehicles to be converted to a 10" rear wheel. Alternatively, a 10" engine can, of course, also be converted to 8". Most SIP classic models are equipped with tuned PX engines and are perfectly suited for long-distance riding.

The dimensions of most Vespa large-frame engines are the same. Therefore, PX engines can be installed in the following Models if the appropriate modifications are made:

Vespa 125 V1-33/VM/VN/150 VL/VB1/VD/VGL1: Conversion from 8" to 10" in the front, conversion to 12 V, Engine Swing Arm Pivot/Shock Absorber Adaptor, and Frame and Side Fairing modifications required.

Vespa 150 GS: Conversion to 12 V, Adaptor for the Engine Swing Arm Pivot and Shock Absorber, as well as Frame and Side Panel modifications are required.

Vespa 125 VNA/VNB/Super/150 VBA/VBB/Super/P150S: Conversion from 8" to 10" front wheel, conversion to 12 V with Wiring Loom, brake/Light Switch, bulbs, Voltage Regulator, and Sprint Centre Stand required.

Vespa 125 GT/GTR/TS/150 VGLA-B/GL/Sprint/V/160 GS/180 SS/Rally/P125-150X/P200E: Conversion to 12 V with Wiring Loom, brake/light switch, bulbs, and Voltage Regulator required.

Vespa PX80-200E/Lusso/’98/MY/T5: Installation is straightforward.

If the engine is not factory-installed, registration with the TÜV is required.

LML engines offer a very attractive price-to-performance ratio. Their quality has improved significantly in recent years. Some engines are offered with or without an electric starter, with separate lubrication, and with or without an Exhaust. Some engines are equipped with the LML diaphragm system and 5-overflow-channel cylinders. This engine is very powerful and serves as a good foundation for 166/177-cc tuning.

We recommend that anyone who has purchased a restored Vespa from Vietnam, Pakistan, or India replace the existing engine with a new LML engine. This can save a lot of trouble.
