Operating principle and setting

The TFI is pre-programmed as a simple plug & play component and is ready for immediate use. It is not an "interceptor" and does not change the factory fuel/air computer parameters or pulse width calculations. Instead, it taps into the injector circuits and adds additional pulse width voltage as required to keep the injection system open exactly the required amount of time longer - for precise fuel enrichment. The CDI and Wiring Loom remain untouched, no lines need to be cut. The existing basic setting is retained, as is the correlation with the Engine's volumetric power curve.

The setting is made via four regulators and a switching circuit in the control unit: the transition point to full load speed is defined as well as the time and amount of additional enrichment in the three operating ranges (in tenths of a millisecond). The TFI is also available as a pre-programmed module for optimizing a PM68 exhaust system and can be easily adapted to other requirements if necessary - even on the move in an emergency.
