Custom Creations: Posch Performance

Jürgen Posch is no stranger to the tuning scene. Time and again, he surprises and amazes with conversions that push the limits of the Vespa. He brought a very special custom Vespa with him to this year's Scooterist Meltdown in Kalkar, which we present in this instalment of our Custom Scooter Creations series. Not only was it a crowd-puller on the test stand, but Jesco also wanted to know everything about the latest creation from Posch Performance.

What initially looks like a normal light blue PX from a distance turns out to be something completely different on closer inspection, because Jürgen has dug deep into his box of special parts: 306 BFA Engine, BFA Cylinder, 38 Mikuni Carburettor and a supercharger that compresses the intake air and thus chases more oxygen-petrol mixture into the carburettor. "I wanted to see if it would work at all," says the passionate Screws enthusiast and member of Vespaar Aichach SC.

he has achieved 72 hp on the display board with this design on his own test bench, but that is not enough for Jürgen. There is an ominous silver bottle under the Seat: "I can inject fuel and nitrous oxide at the same time with the Fuel Pump. The Engine might burst into flames or explode." Jesco has only one description for this: "Awesome!"

Our shoot took place before the appointment on the test bench in Kalkar, but we can reassure you: Jürgen is still in good health, his PX didn't blow up in his face and he was able to take home the prizes as winner of the "Major Power Awards" in the "Vespa Special Engine" class and second place as "Best Oddity".

We are sure that Jürgen will realise more crazy projects in the coming years and hope that he has good health insurance. All joking aside: Jürgen, stay healthy and keep us up to date.
