Different exhaust systems are available

The only special part that is not included in the kit is the exhaust. Here you can choose between two versions, which have to be ordered separately. One version is a two-in-one box exhaust. Here both exhaust manifolds run together in one box. The second version is a two-in-two resonance exhaust system. With this system, each cylinder has its own exhaust, from the exhaust manifold to the silencer.

Which cylinders can be fitted?

The Chimera conversion kit is designed to fit all Lambretta cylinders, whether standard or tuned. They only need to be compatible with original Lambretta engines. When ordering the Chimera kit, the only thing you need to know is whether you want to fit big block (200cc) or small block (125-175cc) cylinders.

Reed valve or piston control?

When ordering a Chimera kit, it is important to make sure that you choose the correct intake variant. The kits always contain two intake manifolds. If you choose the "piston control" variant, you will receive two intake manifolds that are compatible with the intake of the original Lambretta cylinders. If you choose the "reed valve" version, you get two intake manifolds compatible with a TS1, Monza Imola cylinder. The connection width for the carburettor is 36mm in each case.

In which models can the Chimera kits be installed?

In principle, the Chimera engine kits can be fitted to all Lambretta Series 1-3/DL/GP models. However, there are two different versions. One is designed for 1st and 2nd series, the other for 3rd series and DL/GP. When ordering, please note in which scooter the engine kit is to be installed.
