With the VOLspeed tuning module for YAMAHA PW e-bikes and pedelecs, a product comes onto the German market whose optimisation possibilities are unique: All settings, such as speed limit, downshift behaviour and wheel circumference, can be conveniently made via the display. PC or smartphone are no longer needed. In addition, the motor power is no longer abruptly reduced at maximum support in the so-called "dynamic mode", which significantly reduces the unsightly "wall effect".

The tuning module for e-bikes with YAMAHA PW motors
The VOLspeed tuning module is suitable for e-bikes with YAMAHA PW (Powerdrive) motors from 2014. It is not suitable for YAMAHA PW-X, PW-TE, PW-X2, PW-ST and PW-TE.
These require the VOLspeed Tuning Module V2.

When the e-bike or pedelec is put into operation, the tuning is switched off by default.
- Tuning can be switched on and off via the buttons on the handlebars.
- The wheel circumference is set on the display during setup.
- The maximum motor assistance, or downshift speed, can be set to a value between 25 and 99 km/h. The set value is saved. The set value is saved.
- By selecting the "dynamic mode", the "wall effect" is softened. Motor support also in higher speed ranges.

Mounting, activating and controlling the VOLspeed tuning module
It is no problem to install the VOLspeed tuning module on the YAMAHA engine.
Activation and control are carried out via the display and dismantling should also be possible without any signs of wear.
Mounting
A 3 & 6 mm Allen key is required. If you want to have it a bit easier, you can get a torque ratchet. Technical expertise or even special tools are not required. A time expenditure of between 15 and 30 minutes is to be expected. Cable connections only need to be plugged in, otherwise no modifications to the engine are necessary. Activation & control
Neither a PC nor a smartphone are required, the VOLspeed tuning module is ready for operation immediately after installation and is configured via the display. Set the wheel circumference and the desired top speed - that's it. The video also helps with this. The tuning can be controlled very conveniently via the display while driving and can also be switched on and off.
Dismantling
Due to the plug-in connections, dismantling is basically just as easy as installation. The video can simply be played backwards and the dismantling is done. There should be no visible damage to the e-bike or pedelec. Conclusion: State-of-the-art tuning module with convenient "dynamic mode" and operation via the display.
