SIP Speed Sensors for signal acquisition in digital Speedometers and Rev Counters.
Speed Sensors, also known as speed transducers, transmit the signal from the wheel rotations to the corresponding Speedometer. They can be mounted on the front wheel hub or on the Crankcase. Different cable lengths allow for universal installation on various vehicles, and matching brackets simplify installation.
Active Speed Sensors, for example, detect Studs or Screws on the Rim and pick up the signal from them. However, an additionally mounted Magnet is still the best signal pickup. If you’re looking for a plug-and-play solution for your Vespa, check out the SIP Speed Sensors. These simply plug into the corresponding seating in place of the Speedometer Cable, fit perfectly, and work very reliably.
