Product description
High-performance drive shaft for the Vespa PX Lusso models from SIP Scootershop. Available both complete and in parts.
The PX Lusso drive shaft from SIP serves as a higher-quality original replacement. The parts are available either as a kit or in individual parts.
- The better original replacement
- High performance design made from high quality materials
- Compatible with original input shafts
The SIP complete shafts correspond in form and function to the original parts of the Vespa PX Lusso models. This makes them compatible with all original parts. The high quality of materials and manufacturing also makes them ideal for road and sports tuning.
The complete set
The complete PX Lusso drive shaft comes with 4 gears: Z 57-42-38-35 or 57-42-38-36. In addition, the crucifrom, shift rod, spacers and circlips are included in the kit. This saves time-consuming assembly of the individual parts.
The individual parts
Of course, all parts of the PX Lusso drive shaft are available individually from SIP. This makes it possible to carry out any repair, even and especially on original engines, with high-quality alternatives.
The materials used
We use the most suitable material for each component:
Drive shaft: 20MoCr4
Gearshift shaft: 42CrMo4
Gearwheels: 20MoCr4
Cruciform: C50E
Conclusion: The all-round carefree package from SIP for the largeframe gearbox in very good quality.
The best setup - our SIP-TIP
- A gear selector box in perfect condition is a prerequisite for a long-lasting gearbox. Worn shift pawls should be replaced
- Brake drums are essential for safety
- The input shaft completes the gearbox
Note:
The fit of the toothing of our drive shaft to the brake drum is particularly tight and precisely designed. This creates a very strong connection that can transmit extremely high forces; without the toothed area twisting, without teeth shearing off and the whole thing very wear-resistant.
The countless suppliers of brake drums and axle mountings produce in different tolerance levels. So it may be that the respective drum cannot always be pushed onto the shaft very easily. In such a case, however, the brake drum can still be pulled onto the splines with the wheel nut, applying slight force. Clean the teeth beforehand, if necessary with a wire brush and a little grease to make the work easier.
