Return spring for hand lever for Vespa models with a drum brake.

Mechanical brakes are generally susceptible to cable friction. This friction may well be the reason the brake lever does not fully return after the brake is used, or that it even rattles. This is prevented by the return spring in the lever. A small part that makes a huge difference.
