Crankcases as a basis for repair and rebuilding - ideal in case of wear or as a starting point for tuning.
LML supplies identical casings to PIAGGIO, and NOS stocks of old PIAGGIO casings are also occasionally available.
The more kilometers a Vespa has behind it, the more noticeable mechanical wear becomes - especially on the Crankcase. Bearing and shaft seal seats can become worn, the rotary slide surface can become scored, threads and screw mountings can break out or the Casing can be damaged by hard contact with the ground. In such cases, a new Crankcase is often the cleanest solution because it once again provides a stable fit and a reliable basis for the motor assembly.
A new Casing is also the perfect starting point for a tuned Engine. Transfer ports and inlets can be precisely milled, and the casing can be built up step by step with high-quality components - without the compromises that an old, worn-out casing entails.
LML can still supply casings that PIAGGIO has not produced for years. They are identical in construction to PIAGGIO casings and the quality is good. PIAGGIO, on the other hand, largely limits itself to casings for the newer PX150 models. From time to time, old stock is also bought up, so that original PIAGGIO casings are occasionally available as NOS (New Old Stock) - i.e. new parts from old stock. The rule here is: first come, first served. Casing for PX80 and PK, for example, are currently always in stock.
Conclusion: For a perfect engine overhaul or as a basis for tuning.
