This Vespa Rescue Kit vastly simplifies rear wheel replacement, whether at home or on the road.

First ensure the Vespa is stable and cannot wobble or fall over. The wheel mounting stand is simply attached by first removing both sidepanels and then inserting the horizontal bar found on the mounting stand through both of the rear sidepanel retention holes. Then pull the Vespa backwards onto the stand and hey-presto! The rear wheel and tyre are off the floor!
