The Reed Valve Block forms the connection between the Intake Manifold and the engine block and controls the intake process: When the Piston runs upwards, negative pressure is created in the crankcase, the Reed Valve Petals open and the mixture flows in. When the piston moves downwards, excess pressure is created, the mixture is pre-compressed and the dies close, so that no reverse flow is possible. A flow-optimized racing reed valve block is therefore one of the basics in engine tuning.

The MALOSSI MHR Reed Valve Block offers an enlarged inlet cross-section, improved flow conditions and optimized cylinder filling, especially for high-revving setups. Carbon diaphragms, a rubberized sealing lip and a venturi insert for Guidance of the incoming mixture increase efficiency and performance. There are no stops for the Reed Valve Petals, the dies are unslotted and designed in one piece - for maximum cylinder filling and clean response at high engine speeds.
