Technically sophisticated aluminium cylinder from MALOSSI with 182.58 cc - precisely manufactured, thermally optimized and designed for high load capacity.

The Cylinder has a bore of 63 mm with a stroke of 58.6 mm and thus achieves a displacement of 182.58 ccm. The compression ratio is 10.6:1 and the Cylinder is manufactured from a primary aluminum alloy with a high proportion of hardened and tempered silicon. The raceway is coated with silicon carbide in an electroplated nickel matrix and cross-ground with two diamond passes, which enables very tight manufacturing tolerances. Machining is carried out on high-precision CNC machines and the running clearance between Cylinder and Piston is 0.05 mm. In addition, the heat exchange surfaces have been recalculated and enlarged.

The Piston has an ultra-compact design and is equipped with three Piston Rings. It is made of a special aluminum alloy with a high silicon content, low thermal expansion and a tin coating on the sliding surfaces. Here too, production is carried out on numerically controlled precision machines. The Piston is weight-optimized, Reinforcement and also provided with enlarged heat dissipation surfaces. Special Piston Rings with very good sliding properties and high mechanical load capacity are used. The first compression ring is made of nitrided and chrome-plated steel, while the second ring is made of special cast iron. The three-part Oil Scraper Ring is made of chrome-plated special steel alloy.
