The simplest and most obvious elements of the Engine are often underestimated - yet it is precisely small interventions that can ensure that an Engine runs better and lasts longer. A good example is the air and fuel supply system, as engine performance is largely dependent on this.
The task of the Air Filter is central to this: It must keep impurities away from the Engine, which can cause serious damage in a short time, and at the same time ensure the best possible air supply. These two requirements are at odds with each other and can only be combined in a high-quality filter with experience, good materials and a well thought-out design.
It is not for nothing that many manufacturers start with the Air Filter for high-performance racing engines - it is the first element in the engine's "breathing chain". As an established specialist for supply systems and racing engines in the scooter sector, MALOSSI has developed the RED FILTER, a filter solution designed for high air flow rates with a reliable filter effect.
The RED FILTER is characterized by a load-bearing, lightweight and removable mesh structure as well as a filter element made of open-pored, fire-resistant Foam with very good capture properties. It can be installed in a short time and is supplied with suitable connections to fix it in a suitable position. Specially designed lines and surfaces are intended to ensure a high level of consistency and provide a solid basis for maximum performance in everyday scooter use.
With regular, simple cleaning at suitable intervals, the RED FILTER ensures a permanently good air supply and can therefore contribute to a longer service life for the Engine. It is also worth taking a look at emissions and consumption: An Engine that can "breathe" cleanly generally runs more efficiently.
RED FILTER E15 - E16 - E17
The biggest innovation of these RED FILTERs is that they do not have a rigid structure, making them particularly adaptable to different installation situations. The E15, E16 and E17 Air Filters have a filter element made of fire-resistant and self-extinguishing polyurethane foam and are suitable for Dellorto, Mikuni and Keihin carburettors as well as other applications.
