SIMONINI Ultralight Aircraft Cylinder – a compact aluminum cylinder that serves as a sturdy foundation for aftermarket cylinder conversions on classic manual-shift scooter engines.
Why not an airplane right away? It’s a dream of many hobbyists and tuners to transplant the cylinder from a modern motorcycle or snowmobile into the engine of a classic scooter. Cylinders originally designed for ultralight aircraft are particularly well-suited for such conversions.
Aluminum cylinder with coated bore
Compact, air-cooled design
Up to 30 PS possible for everyday use
With extensive machining, also suitable for significantly higher power outputs
SIMONINI offers engines with compact, air-cooled cylinders. Not only does the aviation heritage of these cylinders sound spectacular, but they also perform exceptionally well. Power outputs of 50–60 PS have already been achieved with them. Of course, extensive modifications are required to reach such power levels. However, even in its stock condition, such a Cylinder can be used to build a 30 PS engine that is perfectly suitable for everyday use.
The SIMONINI ultralight aircraft cylinders perform very well and are suitable for many applications. They also offer good value for the price. The quality of the cylinders is good, and the price is significantly lower than that of many other third-party cylinders. That’s why we’ve decided to offer them, even though they can only be used in a gear-shift scooter engine with some modifications.
