The basis for the development of the Levistronic high-voltage coil was the problem that, over the years, the ignition spark becomes weaker and weaker with intermittent ignitions. The reason for this is that the ignition coil is mounted directly next to the Shock Absorber, which means that a lot of dirt and dust can penetrate the ignition coil, especially the ingress of moisture favors a weak ignition spark. this problem does not exist with the Levistronic Ignition Coil because the magnetic core is completely insulated and the connection for the Stator Plate (kill cable) is as far away from the earth as possible, which prevents fault currents, especially when it rains or when driving through a puddle. in addition, the entire coil is insulated. This means that ignition voltages of up to 400 volts are possible because the possibility of fault currents has been minimized.
