Cables are among the most important wear-and-tear and replacement parts on a scooter and should be checked regularly and replaced in a timely manner.
Broken cables are a nuisance on every ride. Stiff cables strain your nerves and tendons, and frayed cables must be replaced. Therefore, it’s recommended to replace the cables regularly, both during a restoration and as part of routine maintenance.
We carry only high-quality cables, which we also use on our own scooters. They are available as individual cables, as cables with a Cover, and optionally with a PTFE Cover. Differences exist in length and diameter, as well as in the appearance and color of the Cover. Some throttle, Choke, and Brake Cables are also model-specific.
Cables with PTFE covers are particularly well-suited for tight routing radii and are very easy to operate. The inner track of the cover has a special coating, which improves the cable’s smooth operation and extends its service life. These cables should not be lubricated additionally.

- Order Cable Nipples and new Adjusting Screws at the same time. All cables except PTFE versions should be lubricated with Oil or Grease.
Front brake cable:
With barrel nipple: For attachment to the front brake lever. With cables that do not have threaded bolts, screw nipple PART No 17727000 and nut PART No 17728000 are required.
With pear nipple: For attachment to the front brake lever. Screw nipple for brake lever PART No 62200000 is also required. On cables that do not have threaded bolts, screw nipple PART No 17727000 and nut PART No 17728000 are required. On cables with threaded bolts, adjusting nut PART No 17964100 and cable lead through PART No 17964000 are also required.
