A tuning Control Unit with performance-optimized mapping.

Near Graz, a region known for engine technology, an engineer programs Control Units for Vespa GTS Models so that they just fit in the end. Changing the mapping of a Control Unit is basically the same as "adjusting a carburettor". However, work on this electronic component is little known, rarely visible and often associated with terms such as "cracking" or "flashing". Official brand workshops avoid this work, and it usually voids the warranty.

SIP offers the LeFT Throttle Flaps with built-in Control Unit and performance-optimized map as a plug-and-play solution from Bearing. An Installation Guide is included and the immobilizer can be programmed at the start. The sophisticated mapping ("basic data status") ensures high-torque acceleration, Guiding transitions and high peak power.

The Stage 2 tuning of the 32 mm flaps covers engines up to just under 30 hp and usually fits immediately. For even higher performance, the 42 mm Stage 2 Throttle Flap is recommended, which is supplied with a larger Fuel Injector. Fuel Pump and pressure can remain unchanged despite the higher flow rate.

Variants of the LeFT Throttle Flaps

• 32 mm diameter: new original Piaggio spare parts, provided with optimized mapping in Austria and 100% function-tested.
• 42 mm diameter: tuning parts with 70 % larger passage, Piaggio-based electronics, Casing and flap elaborately milled from solid material. Visually very similar to the original and therefore inconspicuous.
• 48 mm diameter: The high-end Throttle Flaps for extreme tuning are best ordered directly from the manufacturer's website http://www.lebschik.at/.

Note: It is important to order the Control Unit with the exact Piaggio CM number (e.g. CM291701). This number uniquely identifies the Control Unit and can be found on a Sticker on the original part.

For extreme conversions, for example with very high compression due to special Pistons, individual adaptation of the ignition map is recommended. The manufacturer also offers direct support for this.
