Overview
BAFANG is a relatively new company from China, which has been working intensively on the requirements and trends of global electromobility since 2003. With around 1,000 employees at eight different locations worldwide, the company focuses on the development of solutions for electric vehicles, including e-bikes and pedelecs. The production of mid-mounted motors for the European market has been taking place in Poland for several years. In addition to sales and service centres in the Netherlands and Germany, BAFANG also offers a range of components, including HMIs (Human Machine Interface), batteries, sensors, connectors and controllers.
The Engines
The Engines produced by BAFANG are particularly suitable for use as a retrofit kit on conventional bicycles. However, only the Max Drive or M-series drives are relevant for e-bike tuning, as these are mid-drive motors. No tuning is currently available for the HR and HF series drives. It is essential to check the data sheet or ask the dealer what year your BAFANG Engine was built.
