MAURO PASCOLI – The dealer with his own museum
This Italian is not only a dealer and manufacturer, but has also been a passionate collector of everything to do with the world of Piaggio for decades. So it was only natural that he should open his own museum to showcase the exhibits to the public. And it opened its doors in Ravenna on 10 May 2008, in the presence of Mauro Pascoli. The “Collezione Vespa” collection, spread over two floors and 500 m², comprises more than 150 vehicles, 1,500 photographs, around 1,000 Badges, and 300 trophies and cups. There are also toy models and a wide selection of original accessories dating from 1946 to the present day. And as if that weren’t enough, visitors can admire Catalogues, Hand Books and other publications from Piaggio.
The Vespas on display range from the first 98 model through to the modern PX and the Vespa 946. There are also several Vespas manufactured under licence in France, Germany, Russia and England. Most of the exhibits come from the private collection of Mauro Pascoli, who always dreamt of running a museum alongside his business.
