Speedometer/Rev Counter SIP TACHO KARACHO
In this video, Elvis explains to you exactly what our new speedometer or rev counter can do. Because it's not just about displaying the speed, but the small device in the chic design has far more functions. We offer four versions: There is the TACHO KARACHO up to 160 km/h or 100 mph for the Vespa PX80-200 E Lusso/'98/MY/'11, and also suitable for the Vespa GTV/GT 60 with 125 to 300 cc. And these two versions are also available for the LML Star 125-200 Star, Deluxe as well as Stella 2T/4T.
High-end instrument in race look
Since their debut in 2010, SIP's Rev Counters with Speedometer have changed the market profoundly. They bundled functions that previously required several additional devices into a single, discreetly designed instrument.
The "Tacho Karacho" version, thanks to the hand positioned at 6 Clock, brings to mind the instrument displays of sports and racing cars of the 60s and 70s. It can not only display RPM and speed, but also measure temperature, with the flexible option to easily switch between AF and EGT Connection in the menu. The integrated Press Button allows a smooth transition between different display options and can be mounted inconspicuously on or under the Light Switch. As a special extra, the Rev Counter performs a self-test every time the engine is started, bringing a little piece of Grand Prix atmosphere to the cockpit.
The analogue display can show either the revs or the speed. The latter optionally in km/h or mph, depending on the device. On extended tours, an additional function of the speedometer comes in handy: it allows you to distinguish between two separate individual routes, including riding time and average speed - ideal for keeping the daily distance and the total tour distance apart. Furthermore, the total distance can be adjusted, making it easy to transfer kilometre readings from the previous speedometer.
In combination with the SIP Fast Flow Fuel Tap, which has a reserve indicator, this convenient display is now available to all Vespa riders. If the fuel is running low, a flashing "FUEL" signals this. Additional safety is provided by the Reinforcement overvoltage protection, which has been integrated as a little extra.
New additional functions
The gears can be displayed and the so-called shift flash helps you to change gears at the right moment. You can set the maintenance interval to be reminded of the service check. If you want to avoid traffic tickets, you can enter your target speed and receive a warning if you exceed it. Other gimmicks include timekeeping on a pre-set route or you can check how fast your Vespa accelerates from 0 to 80. Let Elvis explain to you in the video how you can quickly set up all these functions. And we can assure you that installation is child's play. If your Speedometer Cable is worn or damaged, for example, this Speed Sensor can be retrofitted. We hope you enjoy the SIP TACHO KARACHO!
