Euro Lambretta 2023, Lincoln, UK
Almost 2,000 years ago the Romans came to Lincoln, around 1,000 years later the Normans and in June 2023 Sandra, Andrea, Robert and Nico from SIP Scootershop invaded the capital of the county of Lincolnshire. However, with absolutely peaceful intentions, because they were guests and sponsors of the "Euro Lambretta 2023". This is a kind of travelling circus that is organised by a different Lambretta club every year. This year it was the turn of the venerable and largest club in the world: The Lambretta Club of Great Britain (LCGB), which has more than 5,000 members.
Lambretta Clubs from all over the world

The venue was the Lincolnshire Showground, a sprawling facility located just north of the city gates. Clubs from all over the world are invited to this Lambretta Jamboree. There were 1,300 Lambretta enthusiasts from Germany, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and even Canada and the USA. And of course the many clubs from Great Britain were represented. In the middle of it all, our SIP Scootershop stand, housed in a small hall - a cross between a stable and a garage.
"People are really happy to see SIP Scootershop faces live for a change and are incredibly friendly" Robert recalls. "There was a lot of interest in our parts, especially Motorino Diavolo was very popular. We had also brought 60 litres of barley juice. The local art of brewing was another attraction."
But there was also a lot to see and experience away from our presentation. Trips to Lincoln Cathedral and Woodhall Spa. Traders' mile, workshop, Concours d'Élégance with awards ceremony, the Presidents' meeting and of course there was no shortage of food and drink. In the evening, DJs played and the live bands The Corsairs, Smove & Turrell and Marquis Drive created a great atmosphere. Although there was no custom show, there were still many unusual Lambrettas to see. You can find some of them in the picture gallery below. Nico was very impressed: "It was a great three days. A cool event with lots of nice people and excellent organisation."
On the sidelines of the event it was announced that the next Euro Lambretta will take place in France in 2024. We are looking forward to it!
