Custom Creations: Lambretta Supertune
In this episode of Custom Creations, we meet an old acquaintance again: Christian Albrecht from Salem Speed. In November 2022, we paid a visit to his workshop and presented his project with the beautiful Lambretta Supertune as part of our "Sexiest Workshops" series. Now Jesco gets to admire the final result and is full of praise.

Back to the 60s
Christian went to work on this Lambretta with great attention to detail and the result is truly "breathtaking". Everything fits here - from the original Fuel Gauge, to the pads on the Handles, to the manual Rev Counter, so that the Supertune is in no way inferior to its ancestors from the 1960s and 70s. In the final stages of assembly, Christian could only touch the scooter with kid gloves to avoid damaging the black Paint. "It's piano lacquer," he explains, "no matter which super nice cloth you use, you'll have a scratch in it somewhere afterwards."
If you want to know more details about this black beauty, we recommend the video of our visit to Salem Speed in Schmilau, Schleswig-Holstein. This archive footage is a great way to check whether Christian was able to realise his dream as he had planned. Judge for yourselves, but we'll throw in a little spoiler: "This is a Lambretta to die for. For me, it's one of the top three scooters in this show," says Jesco.
So get on it, step on the gas and go for a few hot laps like the legends Ron Moss, Neville Frost or Ray Kemp! We applaud Christian and wish him continued joy and success with his extraordinary scooters.
