Custom Creations: He-Man

Created by Dietrich Limper at 12:06 on June 26, 2024

A new episode in our "Custom Scooter Creations" series: Christian comes from the far north, from the municipality of Timmendorfer Strand in Schleswig-Holstein, and has long been a member of the Kelten Rollerclub Ostholstein, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, just like us at SIP Scootershop. The club is known for its creative custom projects and we have already introduced one or two of them(Martin and Benno) here. However, Christian has chosen a topic that is more familiar to the older ones among us: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

Immortal on the Vespa

In the 1980s, there was not only this animated series on TV, but also action figures from Mattel, which were particularly popular with boys. Hard to believe, but true: in 2021, the series made a big comeback on Netflix. In "Masters of the Universe: Revelation", Kevin "Clerks" Smith was instrumental in its development, and prominent names such as Mark Hamill, Henry Rollins, Method Man, Danny Trejo and Sarah Michelle Gellar lent their voices to the characters. He-Man and his illustrious allies continue to fight the supervillain Skeletor and save the universe time and time again. There were further episodes in 2024, so He-Man lives up to his reputation in the media too: he can't be killed off.

Christian's visual wishes were realised by Michael Zinnen from Z-Design, who brought the superhero and other iconic characters from the series to life on the bodywork. But it's not just the paintwork that makes Jesco go into raptures - he also loves the Floor Runners. Find out why and how many hours of work went into this Vespa in the video with Christian and Jesco. By the way: the He-Man scooter won second place in the "Best of Show" category at the Scooterist Meltdown 2024. Respect!
