Cables are among the most important wear-and-tear and replacement parts on a scooter and should be checked regularly and replaced in a timely manner.
Broken cables are a nuisance on every ride. Stiff cables strain your nerves and tendons, and frayed cables must be replaced. Therefore, it’s recommended to replace the cables regularly, both during a restoration and as part of routine maintenance.
We carry only high-quality cables, which we also use on our own scooters. They are available as individual cables, as cables with a Cover, and optionally with a PTFE Cover. Differences exist in length and diameter, as well as in the appearance and color of the Cover. Some throttle, Choke, and Brake Cables are also model-specific.
Cables with PTFE covers are particularly well-suited for tight routing radii and are very easy to operate. The inner track of the cover has a special coating, which improves the cable’s smooth operation and extends its service life. These cables should not be lubricated additionally.

- Order Cable Nipples and new Adjusting Screws at the same time. All cables except PTFE versions should be lubricated with Oil or Grease.
Cable Kits
The Cable Kits contain all the cables installed on the Vespa, including Cable Sleeves: 2 x gear shift, throttle, Clutch, Choke, and front and rear brakes.
Some kits also include Speedometer Cables or multiple Throttle and Choke Cables to accommodate different Vespa Models.
The PREMIUM PTFE Cable Kits include particularly high-quality cables with a PTFE lining.
