The VOLSPEED V5 Tuning Chip is designed for e-bikes and pedelecs equipped with GIANT SyncDrive Pro2, Pro3, Pro3x, Sport2, and Sport3 engines from model year 2022 onward. It removes the standard 25 km/h speed limit and allows for freely adjustable motor assistance up to 45 km/h. The module is mounted on the drive motor so it’s invisible from the outside and simply plugs in. No wires need to be damaged or modified.

The Tuning Chip initializes automatically after installation and is ready to go immediately. It is activated via the control unit on the Handlebars. After turning it on, the desired cut-off speed can be set using the arrow keys within the range of 25 to 45 km/h. The last selected value remains stored.

A major advantage of the VOLSPEED V5 is the accurate display of riding data. Speed, distance traveled, and average speed continue to be displayed correctly. Even the total mileage remains accurate after the module is removed, as the kilometers are tracked in the engine control unit. In addition, the wheel circumference can be adjusted by +/-10% to improve the accuracy of speed and distance measurements.

Dynamic mode significantly reduces the abrupt cut-off at the set speed limit. This makes the transition smoother and more natural. An individually adjustable activation code protects the module from unauthorized use. When the e-bike is turned on, the tuning is always initially deactivated.
