Custom-made high-end Crankshafts from BENELLI for the T5 Cylinder from SIP PERFORMANCE.
BeSt Racing Italy is a legend among tuning brands. Stefano Benelli made a name for himself back in the 1980s as a manufacturer of modified Gearboxes for acceleration races. Since the 2020s, he has also established himself as a manufacturer of Crankshafts. Initially an insider tip, but now with a wide range of models and outstanding shaft designs that unleash real performance gains.
- Ultra-long stroke with 62 mm and long Conrod for smooth engine running
- Innovative cheek design for large intake cross-section
- Fine Italian workmanship and high robustness
The Crankshaft is not only the foundation of an Engine, but also directly influences the performance of the Vespa engine. Almost all Vespa engines are case-aspirated. This means that the intake mixture passes the Crankshaft once with every engine revolution. A flow-optimized design and a large cross-section of the Crankshaft are therefore directly noticeable and can be clearly read in the performance characteristics of the Engine.
BeSt Racing Italy has developed a Crankshaft especially for the SIP PERFORMANCE 199 cc T5 racing cylinder, which has an extra-long stroke of 62 mm for a maximum displacement of 206 cc. The cheek design cites all the performance-enhancing features of the powerful "Valvolone" Crankshaft. This results in a particularly large cross-section for the fresh gas - above, below and next to the Conrod. The width of the Disc Valve remains original.
The workmanship of the Crankshaft is on a par with Italian premium brands such as Beta, Falc and TM. The fact that tungsten heavy metal weights are used in the Shaft is a matter of course at this level. The T5 rotary valve shaft already weighs over 2,300 g, and the diaphragm shaft weighs even more. This weight, together with the long Conrod and the balance factor carefully matched to the SIP Piston, ensures excellent running smoothness.
