Setting the SpeedBox 3.2 B.Tuning Chip for GIANT SyncDrive Engines
Activation is via the WALK button or the SpeedBox App. When successfully activated, the e-bike display briefly shows 5.0 km/h - from this moment on, you can ride at up to 35 km/h or faster (max. 99 km/h, recommended: max. 35 km/h). Deactivation is also carried out using the WALK button; the Display then shows 2.5 km/h and the 25 km/h limit is active again. Activation and deactivation should only be carried out when stationary.
The maximum speed can be changed by switching the mode down three times and then up three times. The displayed speed limit can be changed using the WALK button or by turning the rear wheel 360°. Values from 1.5 to 5.0 km/h correspond to maximum speeds of 15 to 50 km/h. The selected limit is saved after five seconds of inactivity.
After the ride, the e-bike must remain switched on until the Display permanently shows 0.0 km/h - this signals the end of the "countdown". Only then can the e-bike be safely parked.
The Tuning Chip and the SpeedBox App
The SpeedBox 3.2 B.Tuning App connects to the e-bike via Bluetooth. After downloading and pairing, it displays riding data and performance parameters on the smartphone. Individual rides can be saved, compared and evaluated - for a holistic riding experience.
App functions at a glance:
- Tuning control
- Setting the maximum speed
- Saving & displaying driving data
- Make tuning invisible
- Engine lock
- Engine diagnostics
The SpeedBox App can also be used without the B.Tuning module. The full range of functions is supported with Bluetooth 4.0 or higher. A demo version is available in advance from the App Store or Google Play.
Installation and dismantling
The SpeedBox 3.2 B.Tuning for GIANT is supplied with color-coded plugs for easy and safe installation. The connection is made between the Engine, Sensor and Display - all the necessary steps are explained in the instructions and in video tutorials. Removal is just as straightforward.
Notes
The tuning should only be activated and deactivated when the bike is stationary - not while riding. If the e-bike is switched off too early after parking, the automatic kilometer deduction ("countdown") cannot be carried out correctly. For short breaks, it is therefore advisable to keep one foot on the Pedal. For longer stops, at least part of the countdown should be completed before the Display is removed or the system is switched off.
The use of additional protection and safety products is recommended to avoid injury. If the service password or Pin is forgotten, the manufacturer can be contacted.
Continuous riding above 35 km/h is not recommended. Furthermore, the software of the e-bike should not be updated while the chip is
