Product description

The SIP Castle Nut Tool is required to open and lock the threaded rings on the drive shaft bearing of vintage engines.

Over the years, Threaded Rings have been offered with two different hole pattern layouts and inner diameters. We have reissued and improved both Threaded Rings. Instead of the original four holes, the SIP Threaded Rings have eight holes for better power transmission. The SIP Castle Nut Tools have therefore been designed so that both original Threaded Rings and SIP Threaded Rings with eight holes can be opened.

There are pins on both sides of these interchangeable tools that engage in the holes of the Threaded Rings. A 1/2" wrench can easily be attached to the Center Piece with square. To be able to use the Castle Nut Tool, the Driveshaft must be removed.

Conclusion: A useful tool for restoring older Vespa Engines and an enrichment for every tool trolley.

SIP-TIP:

If the holes of the Threaded Ring are worn out or worn after repeated opening and locking, the Threaded Ring should definitely be replaced. Depending on the model, suitable for Vespa 125 VM/VN/150 VL/VB/GS VS1-5T or for Vespa 125 V1-15/V30-33/Hoffmann HA/HB.
