Professional tool for holding the Flywheel when tightening the pole nut on the Crankshaft.
The SIP Performance by Vape Ignition is the first choice for all Vespa Engines. For original fan wheel nuts, a tightening torque of approx. 45 Nm and a Lock Washer for fuse are prescribed (PX/PK Garage Hand Book). For tuned Engines with racing crankshafts made of hardened material, up to 85 Nm and Nord-Lock Locking Washers, for example, may be appropriate.
While the Flywheel can still be locked with a thick Screwdriver for the standard torque, it needs solid support for higher tightening torques. SIP has developed a precisely fitting Holding Tool for every SIP Performance Fanwheel. The recesses of the Bracket grip several fan blades and distribute the tightening torque evenly - so there is no longer any risk of fan blades breaking off or bending.
In addition to the main function, holes are provided for fixing the Flywheel even without the Fanwheel mounted. The enclosed M8 Screws can be fitted into the Holding Tool like steel pins and then grip into the larger holes in the Flywheel like fingers. Alternatively, the M6 holes in the Flywheels can also be used.
Another hole at the end of the holding arm is used to hang the Tool on the tool wall. The Legshield Trim ensures comfortable handling.
Conclusion: A must-have for professionals and racers! If you support your Flywheel with this Bracket, you can even attach the Impact Wrench to the pole wheel nut - convenient installation even with high tightening torques.
