The SIP TACHO KARACHO is a speedometer with rev counter from SIP PERFORMANCE for Vespa PX80-200 E Lusso/'98/MY/'11, which is also suitable for the Vespa GTV/GT 60 with 125 to 300 cc.

Since their introduction in 2010, the SIP rev counters with speedometer have fundamentally changed the market. Functions that were previously only feasible through the insertion of numerous additional devices have now been brought together in a single instrument, and in an unobtrusive way.

The "Tacho Karacho" version, with its hand hanging at 6 o'clock, is reminiscent of the instruments on sports and racing cars of the 60s and 70s. In addition to revolutions per minute and speed, this speedometer can also display temperature. It offers the possibility to easily switch between AF and EGT connection in the menu.

A small press button allows an elegant change between the different displays. It can be discreetly mounted on or under the light switch. A little extra treat: Every time the engine is started, the rev counter performs a self-test and creates a touch of Grand Prix feeling.

As an analogue display, speed or rpm can be selected. So the speedometer needle shows either the revs or the speed. We even developed two versions of the TACHO KARACHO: one up to 100 and one up to 160, to offer a wide range of displays for the MPH market as well.

On longer rides, another function proves useful: you can distinguish between two individual distances with riding time and average speed - perfect for distinguishing between daily and tour distances. But the total distance can also be set, so that the kilometres ridden on the old speedometer can be taken over without any problems.

Always use spark plugs and plugs with interference suppression.

INSTALLATION

Installing this speedometer is child's play. As with the original, the speed is determined via the speedometer cable, but there is also the option of using a speed sensor, which can be purchased as a replacement parts. So if your speedometer cable is worn or broken, the display will still be reliable and functional. By the way, the speed is recorded via the light signal.

There is no danger of data being lost. Thanks to an internal memory, all information is safe. The speedometers operate on 12V AC/DC, which means that no battery is required. SIP Performance/Parmakit ignitions can be connected.

In combination with the SIP PERFORMANCE ignition from VAPE, either the KOSO signal filter must be used with the DC version or the brown wire of the SIP rev counter must be connected to the white wire of the SIP/VAPE CDI. Change the ignition pulse of the tachometer to 1 (for DC) or 6 (for AC).
