Once an engine has covered several 10,000 km, has not been driven for a long time, has been tuned, or is leaking excessively, it should undergo a thorough engine overhaul. Bearing, Gasket, Oil Seal, Cruciform, and the primary kit are then replaced.
Every engine component is upgraded—except for the gaskets. That’s why we have our SIP PREMIUM Gasket Sets manufactured by a renowned Italian gasket company and replace all paper gaskets with aramid fiber gaskets. This material is an asbestos-free blend of cellulose and synthetic fibers that provides a highly effective seal. It’s no coincidence that such seals are used in modern engines.
The gasket sets contain gaskets for multiple engine types and therefore cover a wider range of models, e.g., with or without separate lubrication, 50 cc and 125 cc, etc.

Note: In the SIP Premium Gasket Set for the Vespa T5, the Engine Gasket is 0.6 mm thick. In contrast, the current PIAGGIO gasket sets include a main gasket that is 0.3 mm thick. This gasket is too thin and can cause air leaks and Crankshaft wear in some engines.
