LED headlight, extra bright, elegant design for Vespa Largeframe models.
The headlights of classic Vespa scooters never were anything much to write home about. Around the turn of the century the clear glass headlights did make a difference, but it still wasn’t light in the dark really. The big buzzword in lighting in recent years has been LED. The semiconductors require little current and not much room either for a particularly bright headlight. The downside though often is the look. Many aftermarket LED headlights only impress with their decidedly unimpressive design. A definite drawback on vintage scooters in particular.

SIP has gone to great length to change that and has adapted an LED headlight for Vespa Largeframe models. The LED headlight for the Vespa 125 VNB3-6/150 Super/VBA/VBB/VGLA-B/GS VS5/160 GS gives you brightest headlight possible, with much improved night vision and better visibility too for daytime riding. These are only a few of the many advantages of a modern LED light. The LED light is a straightforward fit, it features twin optics and an angel eye ring.
Fitting on vintage Vespa models
The headlight has a “High Power LED“ high-low beam, it’s easy to connect either by soldering or by using suitable plugs. With a separate wire you can also use the pilot light (Eagle Eye).
Wiring up:
Black = Earth
White = Low beam
Red = High beam
Green = Pilot light (Eagle Eye)
The headlight runs on DC. You will need either a battery or a similar 12V current source to run it off.
