Replace clutch springs in good time - for clean power transmission

Small details such as clutch springs are often neglected during engine overhauls or tuning measures. In order to achieve the highest possible friction, the clutch springs press the linings against the separating plates - thereby counteracting high mechanical forces. Only when the friction between the clutch plates exceeds the torque of the crankshaft can the engine power be optimally transmitted to the transmission. Over time, the springs lose tension or can even break - which is why they should be replaced at an early stage.

We recommend installing reinforced springs (available in various degrees of hardness) even for minor tuning measures to ensure that the additional power is reliably transferred to the road. L clutch springs are required for engines with 18-22 hp rear wheel power, XL for over 22 hp and XXL from 25 hp.
