There are two separate versions of selector boxes available for the Vespa PX motors, 'early PX' and 'PX Lusso'. Often during motor upgrade or conversion this can be overlooked, leading to a mix of incompatible shafts, rods and selector boxes and the problem of unreliable gear selection. The position of the selector rod while in the third gear position differs by 1.5mm, regrettably a sad reflection of the shaby manufacturing tolerances.

This selector box, produced by Liztor, is adjustable by +/- 1.5mm, making it compatible for both motor types, straight out of the box!
