RACINGBROS Bazooka 1.0 Shock Absorber – Air-spring suspension featuring low weight, high stability, and continuously adjustable spring preload.

In 2006, RACINGBROS launched hydropneumatic Shock Absorbers for mountain bikes. Later, conventional shock absorbers for scooters and motorcycles were added, until the air-spring shock absorber system was also adapted for scooters. This gave rise to the Bazooka Shock Absorbers.

The suspension systems live up to their name: with a 32 mm tube and a 47 mm shock body, the silencers resemble a weapon in their unassembled state. These generous dimensions make the Shock Absorbers significantly more stable and resistant to twisting. This is particularly beneficial for scooters with their high unsprung mass.

Nevertheless, the Shock Absorbers aren’t as bulky as conventional struts and are even up to 60% lighter than stock shock absorbers. The Air-Spring concept completely eliminates the need for a steel spring. Depending on the pressure in the air chamber, the preload can be continuously adjusted using a special shock absorber pump.

The aluminum components made of AL6061-T6 are then hard-anodized. This makes the Tube and shock absorber body particularly durable and low-friction.
