An elaborately constructed box style exhaust, engineered to be complementary to the SIP/BFA 306 cylinder.
Initially Jürgen Posch only developed exhaust systems for his own projects and requirements, which quickly produced appreciable results. He was especially successful at creating exhaust systems conceived for practical everyday use. Additionally he was also one of the first tuners to build exhausts specifically for the SIP-BFA 306 cylinder. This version can also be counted as suitable for road tuned engines.

Out of the box
A box style exhaust system may not immediately spring to mind when considering peripheral components for a SIP-BFA 306 engine project. This box though, has a lot more in store than may be apparent at first glance. Plenty of potential performance, combined with an easily accessible and thoroughly use-able power delivery. 50PS is achievable when mounted on the BFA engine! When it is road-tuned for everyday use around 44PS is the norm, with noticeably more than 40Nm torque! The performance is available from low revs and increases linearly to soon reach a wide plateau of power that continues through the entire rev range. This leads to an easily controllable and predictable delivery of the increased torque and power.
High-end engineering
A lot of time and effort was spent during their development and construction to maintain a more tolerable level of noise production. The absorber chamber is equipped with an end-to-end perforated pipe surrounded by silencer wool, similar to the external silencer units found on expansion chamber style exhaust systems. This means that instead of reducing the internal volume of the box it is positioned its inner corner, in front of the exhausts end-pipe. The end-pipe itself is also a bit special, adapted from a VW beetle aftermarket exhaust, which is also equipped with an internal perforated silencer-pipe.
Conclusion: This unobtrusive box exhaust is perfect for the ultimate in 'wolf in sheep's clothing' projects!
