PINASCO Master Crankcase for Vespa T5 – a high-quality replacement with additional tuning potential.
With the Master crankcase for the Vespa T5, PINASCO is breathing new life into the nearly extinct, legendary five-channel engine. The name T5 stands for “cinque travasi,” meaning five transfer ports. With this design, PIAGGIO incorporated a modern two-stroke engine into the classic sheet-metal frame. Replacement parts such as crankcases have not been produced for a long time. Thanks to the PINASCO Master casing, these rare T5 engines can now be repaired or completely rebuilt.
- High-quality replacement for rare T5 crankcases
- Large sealing surfaces on the transfer ports and intake
- Ample material for milling and tuning work
- Additional Reinforcements and precise centering
The newly developed casing offers several advantages over the original. Particularly notable are the large sealing surfaces around the overflow channels and the robust casting in the area of the cylinder base. There is plenty of material available here to widen channels or adapt the casing to high-performance setups.
The area around the carburettor is designed with similar generosity. There, too, the casing offers a large sealing surface and sufficient material for modifications. This makes the PINASCO Master casing not only a high-quality replacement for original T5 crankcases but also an excellent foundation for tuned engines.
Additional reinforcements are cast into the housing at several points near the bearings. The die-cast aluminum is of high quality, and the sealing surfaces are precision-machined. The two housing halves are centered using two additional Sleeves.
The engine can be built using original components as a replacement or used as a sturdy starting point for further tuning modifications. With the exception of the Crankshaft and alternator, many parts from the Vespa PX can be used.
Conclusion: The long-awaited replacement for original T5 crankcases—with additional options for high-end tuning.
Note: PINASCO uses a tighter bore for the Kickstart Shaft than other manufacturers. Unfortunately, Kickstart Shafts currently available on the market do not fit there. According to PINASCO, old original PIAGGIO Kickstart Shafts do fit.
SIP TIP:
- The oil deflector is not included in the kit. For trouble-free installation, we recommend using the appropriate tools from the SIP product range.
