SIP PERFORMANCE Wiring Loom for the Vespa PX Lusso – Plug & Play-ready for the SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter and SIP PERFORMANCE VAPE Ignition.
With the introduction of the SIP PERFORMANCE Wiring Loom series, we’re filling a gap between many other SIP PERFORMANCE parts. Anyone installing a SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter and a SIP PERFORMANCE VAPE Ignition system on their scooter can use a SIP PERFORMANCE Wiring Loom to connect almost all Speedometer and Ignition system connections via Plug & Play.

This eliminates the hassle of searching for the right wire from which, for example, power for the Speedometer can be drawn. The DC versions of the SIP PERFORMANCE wiring looms are designed for battery-powered setups. All electrical components are powered directly from the Battery, and the alternator’s output is used to recharge the Battery.
A switched 12-V DC connection is available for general use under the Horn Cover. A USB port can be connected here, for example, to charge a cell phone while on the road. Caution: Electrical components must never be connected to unswitched power cables or directly to the Battery.
This Wiring Loom is designed for PX Lusso models without Elestart. For PX Lusso models with Elestart, please select the Wiring Loom with part no. 83134430.
The DC Wiring Loom for the Vespa PX80-200 E Lusso provides power to the Speedometer black box in both the front and rear sections of the scooter. The front connection cable is designed so that it can be routed through the Handlebars or under the Horn Cover. The rear connection cable terminates under the Battery. This allows the black box to be installed in the desired position on the scooter, depending on available space and personal preference.
When the Ignition Lock is turned to “On,” all electrical components are immediately powered. The SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter starts up, and all lights can be used.
To support every PX Lusso SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter—as well as original Speedometers, of course—a new Indicator Relay, Part No. XYZ, was developed for the DC Wiring Loom. The use of this Indicator Relay is absolutely necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the turn signal indicator light.

The Ignition Lock enables Battery power to the electrical components via a Relay, as the Ignition Lock cables have a cross-section that is too small for the operating currents. This Relay is included in the scope of delivery.
The black ground wire leading to the engine, which has a 6-mm ring terminal, must be connected to the Crankcase, preferably together with the ground wire from the Elestart Wiring. To ensure a good ground connection from the engine to the CDI, we always recommend installing a separate ground wire.
The Wiring Loom is supplied with 7.5-A fuses. The maximum rating for the fuses is 10 A. Fuses with a higher rated current must not be installed.
Caution: Always handle the plugs for the SIP Speedometer/Rev Counter with extreme care, and never pull the Wiring Loom by these plugs or wires. These wires have a cross-sectional area of only 0.5 mm and—like the Plugs—are not designed to withstand significant force.
Conclusion: The perfect plug-and-play solution for anyone who doesn’t want to delve deeper into the scooter’s electrical system but would rather simply connect the components according to the instructions.
