Converting to diaphragm control is not only useful when more power is required. Even if the sealing surface of the rotary valve inlet is damaged, it is often necessary to install a Reed Valve in order to keep the Engine running. In this case, the Intake Manifold must also be replaced. Our range includes high-quality Reed Valve Intake Manifolds for this purpose. Thanks to the rubber connection, even larger Carburettors can be fitted without any problems.

The version from 2012 is supplied as a kit with Reed Valve Block, VL17 Reed Valve and all the small parts required for installation. The new design of the Intake Manifold now also allows large Carburettors to be positioned vertically. The modular X360 Connecting Rubber made of Viton is available to match. The angled Connecting Piece is inserted into a groove in the aluminum Base Plate and fixed to the Intake Manifold by fitting the Base Plate. The individual positioning of the Connecting Piece allows the Connection Angle of the Carburettor to be flexibly determined.

Major modifications to the Casing are recommended for the conversion to diaphragm control, but this control system offers significant advantages. The Engine is supplied with mixture independently of the intake timing of the Crankshaft. This allows it to work much more efficiently. With a correspondingly large Carburettor and suitable peripherals, a noticeable increase in performance is possible.
