Full Circle Crankshafts from MALOSSI take Engines to a new level of performance. More pre-compression can enable higher engine speeds and therefore also more top speed.
MALOSSI places particularly high demands on the Crankshaft as the central element of the Engine. That is why all MALOSSI shafts are manufactured with machine-forged crank webs. Even the RHQ Shaft as a supposed standard version is therefore a first-class product. It differs from the MHR Crankshaft only in individual details. Both versions are equipped with a Reinforcement and torsion-resistant T-Conrod. The Conrod undergoes a special alloy treatment for optimum hardness.
A particularly high-quality forged Conrod is used in the MALOSSI MHR Team version. These forged Conrods are harder, slimmer and therefore lighter than cast Conrods.
RHQ shafts are used as original replacements and up to the mid-race range. The regular MHR shafts are suitable from mid-race Cylinders and, if suitable, up to MALOSSI MHR or replica cylinder kits. The respective area of application is specified in the product description and can be matched to the cylinders used based on the stroke and connecting rod length. There are also differences in the diameter of the Gudgeon Pin.
The Team Shafts are specially manufactured for the MALOSSI Team series. Here too, it is advisable to match the stroke and connecting rod length with the cylinders provided. In addition, the MHR Team Shafts have an enlarged stub shaft for even greater stability. Matching additional components, such as for the Variomatic, are included in the scope of delivery.
All MALOSSI shafts are balanced, high-compression H.P.C. (High Primary Compression) Full Circle Crankshafts. The forged cheeks are made of a special nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel, 18 Ni Cr Mo5. This alloy ensures high surface hardness and also protects against oxidation and corrosion. The material tempering also helps to prevent long-term fatigue caused by high thermal loads, for example.
These are the small but decisive differences that make MALOSSI shafts somewhat more complex, but particularly robust and reliable.
R.H.Q. CRANKSHAFTS
- The crankshaft is the heart of the endothermic engine.
- All aspects of engine performances start from the crankshaft.
- It is not possible to obtain good engine performance and reliability unless a top-quality crankshaft is fitted.
- This is why Malossi produces only the very best in crankshafts.
